The 2010 Nog-In
The Nog-In is an annual holiday drinking event held at fabric8. Each year, contestants bring their homemade egg nog for attendees to sample and vote for.
Submissions
If you'd like to participate as a future contestant, email us with a short intro describing your egg nog and/or mixology expertise and proposed idea.
Trophy
fabric8 commissioned artist Andy Stattmiller to create the 2010 Nog-In Trophy. The trophy will remain on display at fabric8 temporarily.

Hillbilly Nog by Jeff Kroll
Whisk together and cook (stirring constantly for about 30 minutes) until mixture reaches 160F:
8 eggs
3 cups 2% milk
1.5 cup fat free evaporated milk
1/2 cup sugar
Strain the cooked mixture into a large bowl, then add:
1 cup Catdaddy Carolina Moonshine
1/2 cup Myer's Jamaican dark rum
1/2 cup Jim Beam Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
3 Tablespoons St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram
1 Tablespoon homemade cinnamon syrup
1 teaspoon Domaine de Canton Ginger Liqueur
Cover and let age in the refrigerator for as long as you want.
Serve with a dusting of ground nutmeg.
